About Us
Child Find Ontario is dedicated to reducing the
incidence of missing and exploited children and youth
in Ontario.
About Child Find Ontario
Since 1984, Child Find Ontario, a not-for-profit
charitable organization, has participated in the search
and prevention of missing children. We are recognized
by the RCMP National Missing Children's Services and
affiliated with the National Center for Missing and
Exploited Children in Washington. Child Find Ontario
consists of many police-screened volunteers across
Ontario. Our volunteers are responsible for the delivery
of our programs and services that have been strategically
designed to reduce the incidences of missing children
and develop awareness across Ontario. Child Find Ontario
does not receive any operational funding from the
government nor are we a United Way agency. Our programs
and services are offered for free through the generous
support we obtain from our corporate sponsors, community
groups, foundations and private donors. We do not
solicit door-to-door.
Our mandate is to:
- Assist in the search for missing children
and youth (to age 16)
- To provide assistance and support to families
affected by the trauma of a missing child.
- To increase awareness of the problem of missing
children and youth
- To educate the public on ways to prevent and
reduce the incidence of missing children
- To refer families to professional services
where relevant
- To advocate for the rights of children
